I am an interventional pain physician with a focus on using procedural techniques to decrease pain and the need for medications. My main area of interest is a type of pain therapy called neurostimulation. Neurostimulation uses electrical signals delivered to the nervous system to treat a wide array of chronic pain conditions. There are many ways to apply this treatment including spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, and dorsal root ganglion stimulation. The improvements I have seen in patients using stimulation therapy allow for long term satisfaction. I hope to continue to expand use of this exciting therapy to improve the quality of life of my patients. I've always had a strong interest in science, but I knew that working in a lab wasn’t for me. That led me in the direction of becoming a physician, so I could spend more time directly helping people. This led me to the field of physiatry/pain medicine, which offers non-surgical solutions to help patients dealing with pain.
